How text is marked, translated, and cited. The governing rule: never let a translation or a machine draft be mistaken for the source.

Citation

Citations always reference the source edition and its call number, with an access date. When you read a translation or a machine draft, the reference still points to the original edition — the draft is an aid, not an authority.

Dates

Dates are recorded per author, not per work, and carry a provenance marker (manual, Wikidata, or inferred from a source convention). Works inherit the author's range and are labelled author-derived. We do not assign composite scores or rankings to texts.
